She runs pretty well considering the problems she has. the new parts it has are New water pump, new radiator, new thermostat, power steering pump and a new belt (all installed) and new lower control arms and bushings(not installed). its missing one grill the headlights are not really foggy they are very clear for the age. the seats dont have rips in them but the head liner is falling. the dash has no cracks and the carpet is fair.. the seats and carpet could stand too be cleaned. the car shifts threw all the gears very well, except in extreme cold and that is due to the weight of oil that is in it (80/90) that was changed about 200 miles ago. it has four wheel disk brakes. and very new tires with more then 80% of tread left on them. decent stereo,( sound stream in-dash DVD player goes with it for 1200, anyless i will keep it) the rims on the car do go with it they are 17in ASA rims with very little pitting.ok now for the bad.. i believe that the head gasket went.. i might be wrong.. but unfortanitly i dont think i am. the car has not gotten hot ever. it just started blow white out of the tail pipe about 2 weeks ago and then i parked it.both front fenders are dented. the drivers door lock does not work. but the power locks do work from the outside( there is no lock butten on the inside) and the pant has seen better days.it doesnt look all that bad. the fenders are barly noticable. its a nice little car and a very nice BMW for the money. the head gasket set is around $130 so all in all its not too bad. it does have MTEC door sils that arnt cheep that go with the car. all the trim that is missing does come with the car. i removed it because it was falling off.if you have any questions please feel free too call me at 515-556-5279, i do live here in omaha i just never changed my #thanks for looking,MikeNo im not looking for trades. just want the car gone please. Details: This beauty was bought in Germany and sent to Florida (Coach Builders Limited) to be made into a convertible in 1986. A farmer from Winner, SD bought it for his wife to drive around the lake and on sunny days. He owned over 40 different convertibles and sold them at an auction five years ago. A mechanic (in business since 1956) who does repairs on all foreign vehicles bought it for his collection. During this time he did some R&R since it hadn´t been driven for several years. He R&R the head gaskets, grind valves, replaced #1 injector, gas gauge and unit to gas tank, crank sensor, fuel pump & hoses, and slave cylinder for the clutch. New tires and wheels added in 2008. The tires have only 1,517 miles. I also have the original wheels and the Michelin tires that have another 15,000 of tread life. Brakes, front end, ball joints, and tie rods have been inspected and they are good as ever. According to the work order he spent $4,449.21 to bring it up to his BMW standards.The BMW 635csi has only 55,850 miles and drives like a dream. The convertible top and headliner is the original and is operated by an electrical motor. It goes down easy but needs nudging going backup. Since it hasn´t seen much daylight the stitching and molding needs to be replaced or repaired. The radio is an old classic with tape and all of the speakers work. Every electric windows work but the in dash computer that can give you the MPG etc. is not working. The paint is in excellent condition. The front and back bmw emblems are faded and they cost less then $35.00 to replace. There is no rust on any parts of the body. The interior leather and panels are in excellent condition except for the drivers bottom in which the leather has faded and needs to be redyed. All stitching is in good condition except on the upper corner of both driver/passenger seat in which the stitching needs to be replaced. Door panels and carpet are in excellent condition. The title does not have the mileage on it because the auction sold all the 40 vehicles as is. But if you saw the vehicle and drove it you would see why it only has 55,850 miles. I retired 2008 and have driven it during nice summer days but to a medical problem I´m putting it for sale. It is stored in a heated garage in Sioux City, IA. Details: I am reluctantly selling my 1997 BMW 328i sedan. Manual transmission. Clean title. This car is great and still runs strong without any rattle or engine noise! The car is assembled in Germany, not in USA! 2.8L engine, 200hp. Car has 270 000 miles, but due to regular qualified maintenance the engine is in very good condition! Compression rate was checked this summer, and was 10,5/10,2/10,2/10,5/10.2/10.5. Perfect compression rate is 10.2 for the engine, and that means, that it has lots of life in it. Pulls with as much power as one with 75.000 miles. Transmission is in good condition! Clutch was changed last summer. Doesn´t burn oil or overheat at all! This car has been cared for with proper routine maintenance. Very fun to drive! Would make a perfect starter car for anybody. At this price, you can´t let this slip away. You won´t find a BMW with this much put into it (and running in good condition) for cheaper. The car has custom performance exhaust, beautiful 16´´ rims, nice ceramic sport brakes both front and rear (changed last September), Bilstein shocks and struts (changed in September), new battery (changed in October), interior in virgin condition. It does have a few problems, but nothing a little elbow grease can´t fix. Lowball offers will be ignored. Price is set at $4000 OBO (I´ll base the flexibility of the pricing off of the offers received from buyers.) All serious offers will be considered. Belts have all been changed within the last year. Front shocks & all brakes have been replaced within the past 2 years. Plenty of tread on the tires. The bad: Just found out the head gasket is blown. The vehicle still drives fine but the engine temp runs hot for 10-20 seconds before it cools back down to the normal operating temp.
