Details: For sale Black 1979 BMW 528i. I have clean title. Very straight body good engine, no leaks. 6 clyinder, Manual 4 Speed. 4 door, sunroof.Silver power coated Ronal Turbo wheels.Starts up but must be towed. Cannot drive off no slave cylinder installed. Tried to put it on but ended up stripping the bolts and breaking the aluminum hose line. Car was regularly maintained (have all the records) and running good before it was parked for about 14 years.I raised the price from previous post because I was able to evaluate all the receipts and this car has well over $10,000 of service, maintenance, and up keep. Also the engine alone not including the parts are worth more than the asking price. I have factory new muffler that is not installed. Part alone costs $800. I could make more money if I part ourt but not willing to.New battery.Needs new interior. Interior is in bad shape. Paint has oxidation and some rust.Good for body parts, engine parts or a project car. Should take a little work to get it on the road.Will not part out. Must be towed. Details: I have for sale a 1999 Convertible BMW E36 M3 in a rare techno violet with modena leather seats with 113k miles on it. This car is absolutely stunning. This is an automatic transmission car. The pictures speak for itself how beautiful this car is especially in the sun. This car has a clean car fax and runs strong. The engine is in tip top shape and well maintained. The car has never failed or left me stranded. There is not rust anywhere in the engine and no leaks or anything. I originally bought this car for $12,000 which is the KBB value. So your probably wondering what is he hiding? What is wrong with the car to make him sell it for less than what it is worth? I am a honest person and have the integrity to not lie and hide information especially when making a major purchase. So instead of lying hoping to con someone, I will tell you whats wrong and my reasons for selling. A BMW for a 19 year old college student was not the best idea to spend my money for a first car. The maintenance and parts and gas for a luxury car is burning a hole in my pocket. Instead of going for looks I should have opted for a honda or toyota which are more reliable and cheaper to drive. But every 19 year old wants to be flashy and so I bought this car. Also, having a convertible with no garage to store it did not help against this Seattle weather. The repairs that need to be made or unless you do not mind it too much because it does not affect my driving experience are that the motor mounts need to be replaced because the engine vibrates when in reverse which will cost $400. The catalytic converter needs to be replaced and the part costs 250 at autozone. The convertible top´s motors have been disengaged so the hall sensor is blinking indicating that. The motors need to be re-sync and the top´s material needs to be repaired or replace because it is becoming very worn. I have been estimated at Convertibles Only in Seattle that the repair for the top would be around $1200. Currently to put the top up and down I manually do it with a durofix tool and takes about 30 seconds which is more or less the same amount of time doing it electrically. The backseats have experienced water damage from the previous owner which caused the leather to become crumpled. So my price reflects what the fixes should be so that you would not be overpaying and gives flexibility for money in repairs in order to bring this beauty to what it should be. Right now I´m willing to take the loss and say a lesson learned. I am open to trades and offers for reliable cars such as toyotas or hondas or fords please no european or luxury.
